Dashpots

 I'm looking for the part number of the dashpot used to slow the throttle closing on our '56 C-73.

 

The parts book I have lists it in section 14-50-35, but when I turn to that section it is missing in my book. I've looked everywhere I know to look on our website...can't find it.

 

The reason I'm asking is that I recently purchased a new one, but it looks much different than the unit now on the car which I'd assumed to be original.

 

Can anyone help, or point me in the direction of help?
